Welcome to Troop 747!
We meet on the east side of Tucson every Thursday night from 7:00 to 8:30
Boys eleven to eighteen years old are welcome to join; previous scouting experience is not necessary. We have monthly outings – most are overnight campouts throughout southern Arizona. Our trained leaders accompany and drive the scouts to outings, and help them learn skills for Boy Scout rank advancement and merit badges.
Some of the campouts our Troop has enjoyed are canoes on Parker Canyon Lake, the Dragoon Mountains, winter camp on Mt. Lemmon, the Chiricahua Mountains, boating on Apache Lake, Mt. Graham, backpacking in Aravaipa, Gardner Canyon, Happy Valley, and the annual week long summer camp in Payson.
Our community service projects include staffing the annual Anza Trek in Tumacacori and the golf tournament fundraiser at Golf and Stuff. We honor local Veterans each year with a special meeting in November.
We also plan a High Adventure trip each year. Our scouts have enjoyed Sea Base in the Florida Keys, 10 days hiking at Philmont in northern New Mexico, white water rafting, and tall ship sailing from Los Angeles. Canoeing the U.S./Canada boundary waters is scheduled for June 2010.
We invite you to visit us on Thursday nights. Our meetings take place at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, located at 300 N. Tanque Verde Loop Road (Broadway east of Houghton). We are a non-denominational group and everyone is invited to come and see what all the fun is about!

The Latest Troop News

Congratulations to our Scoutmaster, Sam Aston, for being honored with the District Award of Merit. This award honors those who have gone above and beyond in their dedication to scouting. The Dinner will be held on 1/27 at 6:30pm at 700 N Bonanza. Tickets are $10.
Welcome to our new scouts! Lukas Baker, Harrison Berggren, Cody Wooster and Anthony Underwood
Eagle Court of Honor for Brian Schrandt will be held on 1/22 at 2pm at Corpus Christi Church. Scouts should wear full Class A uniforms. We will need help with set up.
Coin Collecting Merit Badge Meeting 1/19, 6pm
Camp Geronimo Summer Camp Deposit of $50 due now. Dates 6/16-23/2012. Camp Physicals needed by April for all scouts whether they are attending camp or not. Get those doctor appointments scheduled now.
